Tanzania has a thriving mining industry, and gold mining is a potential driver of economic development. Katavi Mining Company Limited’s key project activity is the extraction of gold bars and gold concentrates. The Company’s annual production of gold and copper concentrates stands at 21,000 tones.
In 2018, the Company introduced the low capital and operating cost ‘Gravity and Froth Flotation’ technology, and found necessary feeding material from all its ore source of open pits.
To further boost production, the company has invested about USD$120 million. Internationally acclaimed processes such as Gravity with leaching and Froth Flotation make Katavi Mining Company Ltd. one of the most cost-effective and quality mining company in the region. Katavi Mining Company Ltd. has necessary permissions and certificates to externally obtain feeding material, if necessary.
