Katavi Mining Company Limited (KMCL) is a pioneering gold and copper mining leader headquartered in Dar es Salaam, United Republic of Tanzania.
Established in 2010, Katavi Mining Company Limited is founded and promoted by Al Hooqani International Group (AHIG), one of the most diversified and leading business houses in the Sultanate of Oman and in the Middle East.
HISTORY
Tanzania has a thriving mining industry, and gold mining is a potential driver of economic development. Sound national development plans, world-class infrastructure, investor-friendly policies and regulatory frameworks, and mature banking and financial institutions attract huge foreign investments to Tanzania. Tanzania's abundant natural resources and its biodiversity have attracted the founders of Katavi Mining Company Limited decades ago. In 2010, recognizing the fact that Tanzania is a land of endless opportunities for mining and investments, promoters took a major step forward by entering into the rapidly growing mining sector of Tanzania. Katavi Mining Company Limited's key project activity is the extraction of gold bars and gold concentrates. The Company's annual production of gold and copper concentrates stands at 21,000 tones. .

As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities and policies, Katavi Mining Company Limited has been actively participating in various community activities, including education, humanitarian and environmental protection programmes to support the overall social development since its inception in 2010.
